I was tuned in at the Grammy Awards when Adele bagged in 6 awards that night. She deserved every single award she won. She is truly one of my favorites. I first heard her while watching Grey’s Anatomy. Her song “Chasing Pavements” was playing on the background. All my life, I have been a frustrated singer/musician. I wished I was gifted with a singing voice or my parents enrolled me at piano or guitar lessons when I was younger. I admire those that give their heart and soul to their music and those that know how to manipulate and work gadgets and instruments like rane mixers. It would be cool to have your own recording studio too!

Nike+ Training

I’ve always been a fan of Nike+ even when it first came out. I use the app Nike Training Club for workouts here at home and the Nike+ gps every weekend for my “weekend run.” Today, Nike introduced the Nike+ Training scheduled to come out this June.

Moving Out

No, not us. I spoke to a friend this morning and she was happy to tell me that they are finally moving out of her parent’s house in the next two weeks. They are moving into their own place soon and she couldn’t contain her excitement when she told me about it. I am so happy for her. She is also 4 months pregnant now so this move is what they really need for their growing family of 2. She told me that the only thing she wasn’t excited too excited about will be the packing, unpacking, cleaning and moving of their things. I told her to look for help when it comes to the cleaning part like those house cleaning services holly springs nc that can make things a lot easier for her and her husband knowing her current condition right now. She agreed with that idea and will start looking online for cleaning services. Now, the husband and I will have to make a short visit to North Carolina once the baby is born so we can also see their new place.

Valentine’s Fever

I reckoned when the husband and I were younger, we would celebrate Valentine’s day every single year. But as we grow older, I never pressured the husband to buy me flowers or gifts or even dine out at a fancy restaurant. There were so many hype with this one day out of the 366 this year. To me, everyday is Valentine’s day. I am grateful to have a husband who tells me he loves me every single day, not just once but plenty of time s throughout the day. I’m lucky to have a husband who would buy me something I like just because regardless if there is a special occasion or not. That’s probably why I am not too grand on Valentine’s Day. I got my Valentine’s Day card with lots of hugs and kisses. Last minute, the husband decided to take me out on a date. We had an amazing night, as always. It was another one of our food adventures. We tried a new restaurant we saw in Anthony Bourdain’s show “The Layover.”

Our Own

I’m sure that every wife dreams about having a place to call their own. Sure, our very own house would be nice someday but right now I will be glad to have our own apartment. It’s nice to have the independence and freedom to decorate or design your own place. As early as now, I’ve been looking at los angeles furniture stores to get ideas and maybe ask the husband what he wants too so we can compromise.

This will be great for our dining room. Either a style like this or the pub-style dining sets.

I found a nice living room set, too.

The husband and I were at my newest godson’s christening when I first heard about Whitney Houston’s passing. I was shocked. I actually saw it on my Facebook newsfeed. It was a feed from Huffington Post so I didn’t think it was a mistake or some bogus prank. I showed it to my husband right away and all he said was “Oh?.” He too was in disbelief like I was. It’s just so sad and tragic how at a fairly young age her life took its toll. We all know that she has had a rough life – troubled marriage, drugs, etc. The cause of her death is still unknown. Despite everyone’s speculation that it probably had something to do with drugs – whether legal or illegal, I would like remember her as one of the greatest singer. I remembered watching “The Bodyguard” several times and still get moved by how good she sings “I Will Always Loved You.”

Healthy 2012

I met a friend at the nearby mall to chat, window-shop and talk for a bit. I was telling her that I needed to check my closet to see what I can bring to my upcoming trip with the husband at end of this month. I’m sure I’ll be able to find a few outfits so I told her I’ll try on a few stuff today and window shop only. I was indeed successful. We then had a coffee and talk some more. She was telling me that she has been trying really hard to stay healthy this 2012. I encourage her to keep doing it. She said if this continues – since she already lost 5 pounds, she’ll need new medical scrubs for work. Way to go girl! Cheers for a healthy 2012!!

Just Lovely

I cherish our “Thursdates” – just the two of us, enjoying each other’s company. I love it.

Last week Thursday, the husband and I did our usual mountain bike/hike together. He’s on his beloved mountain bike while my running shoes enjoy the uphill hike towards the summit. I loved every minute of it. I usually let the husband go and do his biking but he waits for me every now and then. I’m at my happiest when running or hiking. I just love the smell of fresh air, the greenery and mountain views. Something I’ll forever be grateful for.

It was such a perfect day. We went to buy a gift for my newest godson, Jakob and then had our lunch at Little Tokyo.

Just lovely.

Dream Home

I noticed that my Pinterest “Dream Home” board is already filled up with lots of ideas of what I want our dream home to look like. It’s a fun way to plan ahead and know exactly what you want know then have that idea at the back of your mind so when that time comes, you’ll be 100% sure of what you want your house should look like. And because I have so many stories about my pins on Pinterest, a friend called me up asking me to help her look for a latex mattress for their new abode. I’ll do that this weekend before Super Bowl.

Mochi = Love

Whenever my husband would get a Thursday day off from work, we would always go on our mountain biking/hiking date. Yes, there is such a thing for us – being an outdoorsy couple as we are. That’s an ideal and fun date for us. I have to share photos of our fun date in another post, soon!

Usually, after our exhausting yet fulfilling and awesome day, my husband would treat me to lunch at our favorite restaurants – either my pick or his. Yesterday, we decided to do a trip to Little Tokyo. We’ve been wanting to and because I keep begging him that we should go soon – only because I have been craving for some Mochi ice cream! Thank you my dearest husband for satisfying that craving yesterday!
